The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is by far my favorite event to photograph during the season. I look forward to covering it all year long, and once it is there, it goes by in a flash. Situated in the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, the track winds through downtown streets and even part of an active airport. With the track quite literally within arm's reach of the shining blue waters of Tampa Bay, you would be hard pressed to find a more picturesque location for a racetrack. This year's even was only three days, meaning the typical Thursday test day we would use to get some of the far-away shots was no longer available. Because of this, the weekend was more rushed than usual. Nonetheless, I left this year's edition of the race weekend happy with the results and once again counting down the days until the 2019 race.

Don't forget to check out my Stadium Journey review of the event.
