This past week, I was invited to shoot the NASCAR K&N East Series season opener at New Smyrna Raceway for a sportscar client of mine who was expanding into stock cars. While I have shot stock car racing numerous times before at Homestead-Miami Speedway, this was the first time I had the chance to shoot it on a short track. New Smyrna Speedway is challenging, as the lighting is quite lower than that at a larger NASCAR speedway, and the photography access is also a lot less open than other tracks. That said, it was a great experience and I can't wait to get to New Smyrna to shoot again soon.
You can check out my Stadium Journey review of the track here.
